The studio
On Neubaugasse since 2019: sessions with an engineer on site, published rates and rooms built for bands, vocals and podcasts.
A neighbourhood studio, not a factory
Mumbocetra is a place where you talk to the same engineer who sets microphones and checks exports. We combine a live room, iso booth and a quiet talk space — 3 treated rooms under one roof in Wien Neubau.
We focus on captures that travel well: stems for mixing, reference exports after the session, optional mix and master with 2 revision rounds. If you only need a quick demo take, we will say honestly whether your booked time is enough.

Rooms
Live room (about 44 m²)
Drums on a riser, bass and guitar amps on rugs, several mic positions. For Band in the live room we plan amp placement and headphone mixes ahead — see band scheduling guide.
Iso booth
Dry vocal capture with pop filter and tailored monitoring. Suited to Vocals & singing and overdubs.
Control room
32 inputs, main monitors and reference listening. Home to Stem mixing, Mastering and session control.
Talk room
Up to 4 seats for Podcast & talk, separate tracks, optional basic edit by agreement.
Gear — categories, not a catalogue
We keep around 20 microphones — large diaphragm for vocals, dynamics for snare and guitar cabs, and more. Preamps and converters are geared to 24-bit capture; levels stay moderate and hearing protection is available.
We describe families rather than model lists: the right mic depends on voice, instrument and the tone you want. Bring your favourite chain if you know it — we will integrate it when it is technically sensible.
Team
Lukas Brandstetter leads Mumbocetra GmbH as managing director. Sessions are run by recording and mix engineers who also write quotes and deliver files.

Getting here and hours
Address: Neubaugasse 40, 1070 Wien, Austria.
Take U-Bahn line U3 to Neubaugasse; from there it is about a 4-minute walk along Neubaugasse. Tram lines 49 and 13 also stop at Neubaugasse or Siebensterngasse, each a short walk away. From Wien Westbahnhof, U3 is one stop towards Simmering.
Hours: Tuesday–Friday 9:00–20:00, Saturday 10:00–16:00. Closed Sunday and Monday. Sessions are by appointment only.

Engineer in the room
Setup, capture and export from the same person — no anonymous shift handover.
Price before the date
Written quote with gross price; 30% deposit locks the slot.
Your files, your rights
Once paid, financed recordings are yours; see terms.
Archive with a limit
Project data for 24 months, then deletion — you keep backups.
